The story behind these geshas! Don Gerson originally thought that geshas were just an overhyped varietal or a super well-developed marketing scheme. (He might be somewhat right about that too, lol.) But much of that changed when he tasted his own gesha lots for the first time. Soon after, he started planting more gesha varietals not because he had a market outlet for them but because he simply loved the way they tasted and the way they grew as he cared for them.
His admiration and love for the gesha varietal grew so much that friends and families began teasing Don Gerson about having a second wife. Don Gerson and his wife live in the city of Huehue which is about 4-5 hours away from their farm in Hoja Blanca. Don Gerson would travel up every week just to take care of his gesha plants where people would tease him about visiting his second wife… (aka his gesha plants).
We have also fallen in love with this gesha, and we can’t wait to help share it with you!
